Account Manager

Description

DemandGen International, Inc., a leading marketing automation consulting and services firm, is looking for an account manager to join our North American client services team. The ideal candidate must possess excellent client relations, account management skills, and have experience with marketing automation systems, along with online marketing and demand generation experience.

As an Account Manager, you will have a direct impact on the success of our clients and their adoption of marketing automation across their organization. This person will be responsible for working directly with DemandGen clients and our internal project managers to help plan our client's deployment of marketing automation systems, ongoing adoption, and related initiatives.

The Account Manager will also be responsible for identifying new business development initiatives among your assigned accounts, developing comprehensive account plans, and managing to the client's budget.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Taking a proactive account management approach to maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Identify and scope new projects within your named accounts
  • Coordinate project plans and deliverables with the project management team
  • Coordinating projects and deliverables with DemandGen's professional services team
  • Develop comprehensive account plans, identifying budgets, and scoping key initiatives
  • Conducting regular business reviews with clients to ensure the highest levels of client satisfaction and providing client status reports as required
  • Recommend on-going best practices around demand generation, campaign execution, and ways for our clients to better leverage marketing automation to achieve their goals
  • Serve as a marketing automation coach and trusted advisor to your clients
  • Collaborating with DemandGen's consultants to bring them in as additional subject matter experts for particular projects
  • Maintain expertise in marketing automation systems, demand generation strategies, and CRM
  • Develop relationships with primary contacts and senior management within named accounts
  • Become proficient with DemandGen's specific methodologies for implementing services
  • Help identify and define new services for clients that DemandGen should offer
  • Provide prompt, courteous service to all Clients via email, phone, and in-person
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to client issues for effective and timely resolution

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in corporate marketing or relevant marketing agency experience
  • 1+ years of experience with Marketing Automation Systems, preferably Eloqua
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, Oracle on Demand, or Microsoft CRM a plus
  • Exceptional project and time management skills in an environment where you will manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal, written and client relationship skills
  • Must be a quick learner, self-starter and have the ability to work with minimal supervision in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to problem solve and capture detailed requirements
  • Great organizational and follow-up skills
  • Strong listening skills with ability to identify needs of clients
  • Ability to take a project from start to finish while meeting deadlines
